Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, William Peck and Steve Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hicks moves into the clinch successfully.
Hicks goes for a takedown attempt but Gras pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Gras closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Hicks moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Gras looking to sit in guard and control but Hicks gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gras not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hicks controlling from the top position.

Hicks thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Hicks controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Hicks drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Hicks jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hicks connects with a couple of short punches.
Hicks postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Gras not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Hicks drops back looking for a leg! Gras is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Gras manages to kick Hicks off! Hicks jumps back into Gras's guard.
Hicks is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Hicks drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Hicks seems to have locked his on tight now - Gras screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Hicks, as he picks up the win!
