PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Slenderman Creeper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Asa Sharp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Asa Sharp has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Slenderman Creeper!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 24 - 13 - 2, fighting out of New York, Asa Sharp!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sharp takes the fight into the clinch.
Creeper has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Creeper fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Sharp prevents the takedown attempt.
Creeper wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Sharp wants a takedown but no success here.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
Sharp tries to score a body lock takedown but Creeper shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Sharp is working for takedown but Creeper is calmly controlling the position for now.
Slenderman Creeper has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Asa Sharp.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sharp drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Sharp misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Creeper.
Sharp has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Creeper is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Creeper tries to pull guard but Sharp holds him up against the cage and eventually Creeper drops back down to his feet.
The referee is keeping an eye on Sharp - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Creeper manages to break the clinch.
Creeper tries for a takedown but Sharp sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Creeper drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Creeper moves out of range of the body kick.

Sharp closes the distance and clinches.

Creeper pulls Sharp into guard.
Creeper wants to control but Sharp passes easily into half guard.

Creeper makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

Sharp clinches.

Sharp is trying to trip Creeper. He has hold of a leg but Creeper is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Sharp persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Sharp gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
The fight stays on the outside here - Creeper looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Sharp is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Creeper with a body shot.

Sharp looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Creeper manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Sharp keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.

Creeper gets control of Sharp's arms and successfully pulls guard. Creeper will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Sharp looking to sit in guard and control but Creeper gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Creeper throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Sharp wriggles free and stands up.

Creeper scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Sharp is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

Creeper is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Sharp is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Sharp struggling a bit here.
Sharp avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Creeper.

Creeper is working Sharp over with some ground and pound from side control.
Creeper with the ground and pound but Sharp regains half guard under the barage of strikes.
Sharp tries to get to full guard but Creeper has control of the leg.
Sharp trying to control but Creeper postures up.

Creeper is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Sharp defends it well.
Creeper thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Sharp's head.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Slenderman Creeper will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


No luck with that takedown attempt from Creeper.
Sharp shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Creeper defends it nicely.

Sharp moves into range and clinches up with Creeper.
Sharp wants to take the fight to the mat but Creeper manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Creeper has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Sharp escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Creeper shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Sharp pinned against the cage. Sharp gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Creeper displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Sharp.
Creeper tries to counter with a takedown but Sharp is quick to defend against it.
Slenderman Creeper has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Asa Sharp.

Sharp fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Creeper, pushing him back against the cage.

Sharp works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Sharp won't allow Creeper to get back to his feet.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Sharp accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Creeper tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Sharp slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Sharp is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Creeper knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Sharp wants to stand but Creeper has his arm trapped.
Sharp has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Sharp controlling from mount.
Creeper wants to control but Sharp is having none of it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Sharp trying to control but Creeper is having none of it.
Creeper tries to hold on but Sharp pushes him away.
Creeper is squirming around, avoiding Sharp's attempts to control the action.
Sharp sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Sharp landing strikes from the mount and Creeper is in trouble!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Sharp can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Creeper is looking to escape.
Sharp connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Creeper is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Sharp prevents Creeper from getting the reversal.
Sharp has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Sharp avoids the attempt from Creeper to control.

Asa Sharp showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Sharp throws a push kick but Creeper slaps the foot to one side.
Creeper wants to clinch up but Sharp keeps it at a distance.
Creeper shoots in looking for a takedown but Sharp manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Creeper's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Sharp is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Creeper tries to clinch but Sharp moves out of range.
Creeper throws a lazy body kick
and Sharp counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Creeper gets tackled into the cage by Sharp. Sharp maintains the clinch.
Sharp is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Creeper gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Sharp is looking to take this one to the mat.
Sharp misses with a shot to the kidneys.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Creeper wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Sharp has him pressed against the cage.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Sharp as Creeper tries to tie him up.

Sharp escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Sharp shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Sharp seems to be working for a kimura but Creeper defends the submission attempt.
Sharp perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Sharp looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Creeper moves into full guard.
Sharp looking to pass the guard.
Creeper wants to stand but Sharp is controlling the position.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Sharp drives through with a takedown into Creeper's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Sharp is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Creeper is trying to control the position but Sharp postures up.
Sharp stops Creeper from standing up.

Sharp sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Sharp tries to free his leg and advance position but Creeper is retaining full guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Sharp would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Slenderman Creeper is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Sharp looking for a takedown here - he's got it.

Creeper has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Sharp is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

Sharp breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Creeper goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Sharp clinches with his opponent.
Creeper goes for a takedown attempt but Sharp pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Sharp closes the distance and clinches.

And that's the end of the fight!
Asa Sharp comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Sharp has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Asa Sharp seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
The defeated Slenderman Creeper had this to say: 'the judges had it all wrong'.
