The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dutroux forces Lawson back against the cage and clinches.
Dutroux wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Dutroux's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Lawson shoots for a double leg takedown but Dutroux sprawls well. He's pushed Lawson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Dutroux throws a right hand that Lawson ducks under and follows up with a left that Lawson also avoids with ease.
Dutroux connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Dutroux scores with a nice strike.
Lawson takes one to the side of the head.
Lawson throws a series of punches but Dutroux avoids them all with ease.
Dutroux stuffs the takedown attempt from Lawson. Lawson gets slowly back to his feet.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Lawson tries to keep at a distance but Dutroux has taken the fight into the clinch.
Dutroux swings wildly with an uppercut but Lawson uses good head movement to avoid it.
Lawson goes for a takedown attempt but Dutroux pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Marc Dutroux has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bobby Lawson.

Lawson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Dutroux as he jumps to the side.
Marc Dutroux is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Lawson dives in and grabs Dutroux's left leg, looking for a takedown. Dutroux pushes down on Lawson's head and hops out.

Dutroux forces Lawson back against the cage and clinches.

Dutroux manages to break the clinch.
Dutroux thuds his right hand into Lawson's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Lawson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Dutroux seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.

Lawson takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Dutroux lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Lawson seems to have recovered his senses.

and Dutroux counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Lawson blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Dutroux pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Lawson moves in looking to clinch but Dutroux pushes him off.
Lawson walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Dutroux, as that shot connected.

Lawson takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Lawson tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Dutroux defends well and Lawson ends up having to push Dutroux into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
