Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 32 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Chris Redfield!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 50 - 29 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Karol Cropp!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, William Peck and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice jab there from Redfield.
We've been informed that Cropp has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Cropp closes the distance and pushes Redfield back into the cage.
Redfield wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Cropp wants a takedown.
Redfield tries to break the clinch but Cropp is controlling the position.
Redfield tries to land a knee to the head but Cropp blocks with his arms.

Redfield manages to break the clinch.
Redfield misses with a double jab
and Cropp counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Cropp drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Redfield sneaks out the side door and pushes Cropp away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
Redfield has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Montreal Fighter's Gym (5* Sparring) in the buildup to the fight.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Redfield scores with a jab to the jaw.
Redfield tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Cropp was well out of range. Poor timing from Redfield.

Redfield sizes up Cropp with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Redfield tries to keep at a distance but Cropp has taken the fight into the clinch.
Cropp lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Redfield makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Cropp keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Redfield's efforts to push away.

Cropp pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Cropp forces Redfield back against the cage and clinches.

Cropp escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Jab by Redfield.
Cropp wants to clinch.
A quick step to the side and Redfield tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Redfield closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Cropp! Redfield dives in looking to finish! Cropp is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Chris Redfield!
Chris Redfield retains his heavyweight title!
Chris Redfield decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
