The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Williams with that takedown attempt.
Cherry appears to be looking for a big counter.

Williams drives through with a takedown into guard.

Cherry scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Williams tries to pull guard but Cherry won't allow it.
Cherry wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Williams changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Cherry tries to avoid it but Williams manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Cherry to the ground. Cherry escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Williams shoots in looking for a takedown but Cherry manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Williams's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Williams throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

Cherry fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Williams sprawls well initially but Cherry persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Williams has a hand on Cherry's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Cherry takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
Williams tries to lock up and control but Cherry gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Williams tries to get to full guard but Cherry has control of the leg.
Williams is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Cherry scores with a couple of nice shots.

Cherry lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Williams fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Cherry to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Cherry looks to clinch but Williams throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Cherry taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
