Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Owin Erl (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Stelling (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stelling has chosen London Calling as his entrance music. Owin Erl has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Owin Erl!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 37 - 1, fighting out of London, Jack Stelling !
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Daniel Bishop and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Erl pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Stelling throws a counter combo.
Stelling looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Erl darts in looking for a takedown but Stelling gets double underhooks and turns Erl into the cage.
Stelling tries to counter with a clinch but Erl shakes him off and moves away.

Erl takes the fight into the clinch.
Erl stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Stelling 's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Erl jumps into guard, dragging Stelling to the mat.
Stelling stops Erl from standing up.

Stelling stands and steps away. Erl gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Erl pushes Stelling up against the cage in a clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Erl lands a right hand.
Erl goes for a takedown in the clinch but Stelling prevents it.
A frustrated look appears on Stelling 's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Still in the clinch, Erl scores with a nice short uppercut.

Stelling stops a takedown attempt from Erl.

Erl breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Stelling leaves Erl with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Erl misses with a few strikes there.

Erl moves into the clinch successfully.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Erl creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Erl ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Erl no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Stelling postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Erl pulls Stelling in close to prevent any damage.

Stelling slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Erl is trying to improve his position.

Erl looks to move to half guard but instead Stelling has passed into mount! Damn!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Erl can't escape the position.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Stelling working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Stelling blocks Erl's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Stelling can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Erl is looking to escape.

Erl is desperately trying to improve his position but Stelling has a good base and remains in mount.
Erl knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Stelling on the ground.
Erl is trying to stand up.
Erl is working to get back to half guard.
Erl is squirming around, avoiding Stelling 's attempts to control the action.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Erl tries to get back to half guard but can't.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Erl has taken the fight to the clinch.
Erl is leaning against Stelling and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.

Erl looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Stelling is fending him off so far but Erl persists. Nope, Stelling circles away and we're back to standing.

Erl on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Erl tries to get out of the position.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Erl holds on and takes a little breather.
Erl wants to stand and escape but Stelling is having none of it.

Erl drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Stelling gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Erl lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Stelling backwards.

Erl lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Erl jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Stelling walks away with a smile on his face. Erl gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Erl's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Erl looks to land a combination. Stelling sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Owin Erl is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
