The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Conner throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Cooper throws a hook but Conner blocks it.
The crowd cheers as Cooper lands an impressive looking overhand right. Conner doesn't seem phased though.

Conner tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Cooper manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Cooper is pushing Conner up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Conner lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

John Cooper seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Cooper rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Conner moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Cooper shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Conner eats them both and turns towards Cooper to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

A telegraphed right hand from Cooper misses the target.

Conner swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.

Cooper throws a strike aimed at the side of Conner's head but Conner avoids it well.
Cooper lands a strong strike to the head of Conner. That's dazed him! Cooper looking to finish here. Conner is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Cooper lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
