Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Matiku Kong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oleg Taktarov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Taktarov has chosen War Pigs as his entrance music. Oleg Taktarov has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Darius Henderson, Steve Erwin and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Taktarov dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Taktarov loads up on a big right hand but Kong slips the punch.
Kong seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Taktarov jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Kong throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Taktarov's waist but Taktarov gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kong off to one side.
As Kong backs off Taktarov throws a huge counter combo but Kong manages to avoid it all.
Taktarov is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Taktarov throws a series of punches but Kong avoids them all with ease.
Kong half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Kong fails to land the takedown.
Taktarov just misses with a punch to the body.
Kong drops down looking for a counter takedown but Taktarov sprawls and moves away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kong shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Taktarov pinned against the cage. Taktarov gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Matiku Kong. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Taktarov misses with a hook. Kong ducked under it nicely.
Kong attempts a counter takedown but Taktarov avoids it well and moves away.

Kong dives in and grabs Taktarov's left leg, looking for a takedown. Taktarov pushes down on Kong's head and hops out.
Taktarov thows a left - swing and a miss!
Taktarov fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kong manages to avoid it.
Taktarov bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Kong's head backwards.
Kong uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Taktarov.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kong looks for a takedown but Taktarov sprawls well.
Taktarov keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Taktarov is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Kong with a body shot.
Kong takes one to the chin there.

As Kong backs off Taktarov throws a huge counter combo but Kong manages to avoid it all.
Kong fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Taktarov lands a jab to Kong's midsection.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kong ducks straight into an uppercut from Taktarov and tumbles to the canvas! It’s a flash knockdown though - Kong manages to regain guard straight away.
Kong is rocked!
Taktarov stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Oh Kong is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Taktarov finds Kong's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Kong flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Taktarov lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Kong will be OK.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:16 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Oleg Taktarov!
A relieved looking Oleg Taktarov thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
