The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Laston tries to clinch but Fighter Three moves away
and Fighter Three counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Fighter Three.
Fighter Three might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Fighter Three with a nice head shot there.
Fighter Three scoring with some ground and pound.
Fighter Three postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
It looks like Dave Laston has been cut.
Fighter Three works a leg free and moves into half guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Nice strikes from Fighter Three there.
Still in half guard, Fighter Three seems content to control.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Fighter Three connects with a nice short shot to Laston's temple.
Fighter Three scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Laston pushes Fighter Three off, looking to escape but Fighter Three dives into side control. He's locked up a kimura now - that was fast! He's cranking on it and Laston is forced to tap! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Random Fighter Three!
Random Fighter Three retains his heavyweight title!
