The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

James Bomb seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Bomb lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Both fighters circling a little - Bomb finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
De Villefort ducks under a wild hook from Bomb.
De Villefort seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Bomb throws the kick towards the body but De Villefort avoids it.
De Villefort is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Bomb looks to land a left hand but De Villefort moved out of range nicely.
James Bomb is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

It looked like De Villefort was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Bomb.

Bomb thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on De Villefort if he has to take too many more of those.

De Villefort swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Bomb misses with an uppercut
and De Villefort counters with a left to the body.
Bomb throws a body kick, spinning off balance

and De Villefort counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
De Villefort postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
De Villefort is looking to work some ground and pound but Bomb has wrist control.
We've been hearing that De Villefort has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
De Villefort works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Bomb is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Bomb is not content to let De Villefort control the position.
Bomb tries to get to full guard but De Villefort has control of the leg.
De Villefort keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
De Villefort prevents Bomb from standing back up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

James Bomb dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Gerard De Villefort's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

It looked like De Villefort wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Bomb misses with a straight left.
A slapping body kick lands there for Bomb.
Bomb throws an off balance right hand
and De Villefort counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
De Villefort walks into a stiff left hand from Bomb.


Gerard De Villefort's cut is getting worse.
Bomb ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A lazy body kick from Bomb
and De Villefort counters with a straight right hand.
Bomb throws a predictable looking body shot
and De Villefort counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Bomb tries to land a front kick but De Villefort steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
De Villefort changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Sloppy strikes from Bomb. Those never looked like landing.
De Villefort swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.

Bomb wants to clinch
and De Villefort counters with a huge left! Bomb is in big trouble! He's backing up but De Villefort isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Bomb from any more damage. A dominating finish by De Villefort!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:11 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Gerard De Villefort!
A relieved looking Gerard De Villefort thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
