The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Minor throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Minor rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Duffy moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Duffy lands a head kick. Minor smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Duffy looks to land a left hand but Minor moved out of range nicely.
Duffy has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Minor.

Minor tries a body shot but Duffy blocks it.
Minor wants to take the fight to the mat but Duffy manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Duffy stuffs the takedown attempt from Minor. Minor gets slowly back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Minor tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Duffy manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

enabling Duffy to counter with a crisp jab.

Minor changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Duffy looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Duffy tries to buck Minor off but Minor is having none of it.

Minor scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Duffy to see if he's OK.
Duffy manages to get back to half guard.
Duffy on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Minor working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Duffy lying in Minor's guard like a wet fish here, stalling away. Minor decides he's had enough of all that nonsense - he escapes his hips and locks up an armbar! Wow, that was slick! Duffy taps! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!

After the fight, Gerald Minor was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
