Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Christian Evansen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Evan Darrow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Darrow misses the jab.

and Darrow counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

We've been hearing reports that Evansen has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Darrow has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Darrow takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
