And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 35 - 78 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Makebono Bowen!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, George Francis and Daniel Franklin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bowen moves into range and clinches up with Urg.

Bowen breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Bowen clinches up against the cage.

Urg decides to pull guard.
Bowen would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Urg tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Bowen wants to stand but Urg is controlling his posture from full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bowen must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bowen stands up and waves to Urg to follow him.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Bowen gets a clinch.
Urg tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Bowen avoids it.

Bowen drops Urg onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Urg is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!

It looks like Toni Urg has been cut.
Bowen dips a shoulder and cracks Urg with a mighty uppercut! Urg falls back against the cage and Bowen unloads with a barrage of strikes! Urg is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Bowen screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
