Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Peter Branson and Dirk Anderson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Donk. Abate catches Ness right on the button with a cross.

Ness feints and as Abate raises his hands in defense, Ness changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Ness drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Abate manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Ness has Abate in his guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ness working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Abate doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Abate manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Ness is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Abate defends well.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Ness has eaten all the pies!

Ness has his foot on Abate's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Abate works his way back into a safe position though.

Ness shoots in looking for a takedown. Abate tries to sprawl out of it but Ness keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Abate manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Ness dives in and grabs Abate's left leg, looking for a takedown. Abate pushes down on Ness's head and hops out.
Danielle Abate has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lache Ness.
Ness tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Abate swivels and escapes.
As Ness tries to get set, Abate tries to push him back and clinch up but Ness manages to avoid the attempt.
Abate lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Ness circles away quickly and effectively.
Abate slaps away a takedown attempt from Ness, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Ness looks winded!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Ness.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Good leg kick by Abate there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Horrible takedown attempt by Ness or perhaps it was just good defense by Abate, which made it look bad.
Lache Ness seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Ness takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

It looks like Lache Ness has been cut.
Abate with a hook.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Abate ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Ness takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Abate lands a nice shot that snaps Ness's head back.
Abate connects with a high kick.
Ness gets hit by the mother of all head kicks and drops to the canvas in a crumpled heap! Woooow, the Internet is going to be talking about this one for weeks!
