Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Block is looking to clinch.

Murray fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Block swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Murray.
Block walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

It looks like Henry Block has been cut.
Block tries to close the distance and clinch up but Murray swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Some bone on bone action there as Block checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Block throws the left hand but Murray avoids the punch easily.

Murray cracks Block with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Murray avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Murray went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Murray is pushing Block up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

That was a close round but I would say that Lee Murray will probably get the nod.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Murray changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Block tries to avoid it but Murray manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Block to the ground. Block escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Murray throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Murray shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Murray takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Murray wants to pass the guard but Block is defending well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Murray content to control rather than advance.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Block felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Block ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Block throws a big shot that misses.
Block tries to clinch but Murray is having none of it.
Murray keeps the fight on the outside.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Murray closes this distance looking for a takedown but Block circles away.

As Block backs away, Murray returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lee Murray. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Murray shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Block pinned against the cage. Block gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
