The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reyes defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Will.
Will shoots in for a double leg but Reyes sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Reyes moves in looking to clinch but Will pushes him off.

Will closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Reyes quickly recovers to half guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Reyes trying to control from the bottom.
Reyes tries to kick Will off but Will keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Well, if Will is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Will wants to work for an arm triangle but Reyes is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Reyes looks like he's trying to stand up.
Reyes wants to get back to full guard.
Will slows the pace down in half guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Will tries to keep at a distance but Reyes has taken the fight into the clinch.
Will goes for a takedown in the clinch but Reyes prevents it.

Will turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Will manages to end up in side control.
Will staying calm.

Will goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Reyes has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Will but great work by Reyes.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Will's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Will has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Reyes has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Reyes is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Will.
Reyes tries to roll but Will sticks to his back.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.

Reyes is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
A bit of a pause in the action here. Will controlling the positon.

Will has both hooks in and is working for a choke. Reyes is in real trouble here. Will gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, Reyes is tapping out! Will wins by rear naked choke!
