The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Meierotto feints and as Stark raises his hands in defense, Meierotto changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Meierotto tries to free his leg and advance position but Stark is retaining full guard.

Stark is working an open guard so Meierotto takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Marty Meierotto seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Meierotto throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Stark was covering up waiting for the punch and Meierotto finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Meierotto stands up and waves to Stark to follow him.

Stark looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Stark is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Meierotto is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
