The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson tried to score with a low kick but Olds checks it.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Olds throws a shot from downtown. Johnson moves away and avoids it.
Johnson connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Olds has tried to improve his agility in the runup to this fight.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Fleece Johnson will probably get the nod.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business.

Nice uppercut lands for Olds. That snapped Johnson's head back.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Johnson scores with a jab and follows up with an uppercut that drops Olds to his knees! He bounces straight back to his feet but is forced to take the mandatory standing 8 count before he's allowed to continue. We're back under way and the fighters meet in the middle of the canvas to re-engage.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Johnson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Olds swats him away and circles back towards the center.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.

Olds is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent.

Olds ducks into a a hook from Johnson and goes down! He looks in a bit of a mess; will he beat the count?! 4,5,6,7,8 - he's up and looking to carry on! The referee looks into his eyes and sees that he's OK to continue!
Olds is still on wobbly legs! Can Johnson finish him?

The cut above Robin Olds's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

Johnson doesn't manage to clinch there - Olds circles away.
Olds seems to have recovered his senses.
Olds misses with an uppercut. Johnson saw that one coming.
Olds throws a hook but Johnson avoids it easily.

Johnson goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

Johnson looks low and kicks high, catching Olds right on the side of the head, sending him crashing to the canvas! Will he be able to beat the count? 3,4,5 - he's already back to his feet and ready to go! Let's see if he's still with it!

Robin Olds's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
