PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Han Denderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kash Kwicklee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kwicklee is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by No Shelter/ Rage Against the Machine. Kash Kwicklee will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kash Kwicklee!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Dirk Anderson and Bart Greer.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Denderson throws an off balance right hand
and Kwicklee connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Kwicklee gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Denderson to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Denderson has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kwicklee can do anything to dispel that myth.

It looks like Kash Kwicklee has been cut.
Kwicklee has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Kwicklee is trying to control Denderson's posture but Denderson avoids it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kwicklee takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

Kwicklee is rocked!
Denderson scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Kwicklee is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Denderson can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Han Denderson!
A relieved looking Han Denderson thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
