PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fifth Fist (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Xavier Rocca (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rocca has chosen ULTRAnumb by Blue Stahli as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rocca moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Fist wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Fist definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Rocca lunges at Fist with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Fist's hand.
Rocca takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Rocca blocks a jab.
Rocca lands with a right hand.

Rocca lands a left and a right that send Fist crashing to the mat, dazed. Rocca thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Fifth Fist has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Rocca ducks under a wild hook from Fist.
Rocca throws a poor cross that misses
and Fist connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
The fighters circling - Fist throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
A decent looking cross lands there for Fist.
Rocca misses with a hook
and Fist counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Rocca ducks under a wild hook from Fist.
A looping hook to the body misses from Fist. Rocca does a little dance to reset his feet.
Fist swings away with a body shot that misses
and Rocca counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Fist connects with a single shot there.
Rocca swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Rocca tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Fist was well out of range. Poor timing from Rocca.
Rocca takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Rocca throws a hook to the side of Fist's head but Fist sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Rocca takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

It looks like Xavier Rocca has been cut.

Fist lands a body shot.
Fist lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Fist connects with a body shot that sends Rocca's belly button to the back.
Fist moves away from the strike by Rocca.
Fist tests Rocca's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Rocca darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Rocca throws a body shot but no joy.
Fist tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Rocca was well out of range. Poor timing from Fist.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Rocca misses with an uppercut.
Fist is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Rocca takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Fist throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Rocca on the side of the head.
Fist throws a lazy right hand but Rocca sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Rocca ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Fist moves away.
Rocca misses with a straight right.
Rocca thows a left - swing and a miss!
Fist lands a nice hook to Rocca's body. Rocca takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Rocca looks winded!

Fist lands a left and a right that send Rocca crashing to the mat, dazed. Fist thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Rocca is rocked!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Fist scores with a jab to the body.
Rocca gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Fist gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Rocca is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
