Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Mongkut Sakchai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and George Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). George Smith has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mongkut Sakchai!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, George Smith!
The judges for this bout are Darius Henderson, Topper Green and Ron Honeybunn.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sakchai shoots in looking for a takedown. Smith tries to sprawl out of it but Sakchai keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Smith manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Sakchai tries a head kick but it misses.
Smith cracks Sakchai with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
A looping hook to the body misses from Smith. Sakchai does a little dance to reset his feet.
Sakchai throws a sloppy head kick and Smith moves out of range easily.
Sakchai doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Smith counters with a straight right hand.
Sakchai will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Despite the aggression on Smith's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sakchai misses with a takedown
and Smith counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mongkut Sakchai. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Smith closes the distance and pushes Sakchai back into the cage.

Smith tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Sakchai wants a takedown but no success here.

Sakchai's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Smith defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Sakchai.
Smith lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Smith stuns Sakchai with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Sakchai dives in and grabs Smith's left leg, looking for a takedown. Smith pushes down on Sakchai's head and hops out.
Smith doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Sakchai is breathing heavily.
Smith throws a low kick but Sakchai moves out of range easily.
Nice sprawl there from Smith as Sakchai shoots in.
Sakchai fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Smith pushes Sakchai up against the cage in a clinch.

Smith throws an elbow but it misses.
Smith stalling in the clinch.
Sakchai is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Smith gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Sakchai pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Smith fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Smith scores with a hook to the body. Sakchai takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Smith gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Smith breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Smith lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Sakchai throws a lazy head kick
and Smith connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Smith scores with a punch to the head.

Sakchai is rocked!
Smith throws a powerful right kick. Sakchai tried to block low but the kick was high! Sakchai was taken right off of his feet! Smith jumps in to finish the job and the ref tackles him! The fight is over!
