Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ace Rob (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hideyoshi Kanemaru (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Ace Rob has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ace Rob!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Hideyoshi Kanemaru!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rob tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kanemaru swivels and escapes.
No luck for Rob with that takedown attempt.

Rob has managed to clinch.
Kanemaru tries to break free but Rob pushes him back against the cage.

Kanemaru gets a trip takedown into half guard.

Kanemaru is working for a kimura but Rob is defending it quite comfortably.
Rob is trying to maintain the position but Kanemaru is very close to passing his half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rob tries to roll over but Kanemaru keeps him under control.

Kanemaru wants to work for an arm triangle but Rob is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Rob is pressing down on Kanemaru's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Kanemaru drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Rob manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Kanemaru has Rob in his guard.

Kanemaru has his foot on Rob's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Rob works his way back into a safe position though.

Kanemaru bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Rob's guard.

Kanemaru postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Rob is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Kanemaru, into his guard.

Rob would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Rob pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Kanemaru is keeping the position for now.
Kanemaru is looking to stand up but Rob isn't so interested in that idea.

Kanemaru pushes a forearm under Rob's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Rob is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
