Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
13 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Joe Dirt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Vinicius Costa!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Andrew Berry and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Costa cracks Dirt with an open hand slap.
Costa lands the left hand.
Costa lands with a hook. Dirt tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Dirt misses with a body shot.
Costa looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Costa moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Dirt fails with the takedown
and Costa connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Costa fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Dirt.
Costa with a jab.
Dirt misses with a body shot.
Costa throws a leg kick which misses Dirt's front leg but catches the back leg as Dirt tries to avoid it.
Costa avoids the body shot from Dirt.
Dirt takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Dirt is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Are you kidding me?! Costa ducked down and unloaded an uppercut from hell that sent Dirt clean off his feet! Someone make me a GIF - that's knockout of the night for sure!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Vinicius Costa!
After the fight, Vinicius Costa was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
