Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bary Allen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Howard Stern (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stern has chosen The Great American Nightmare as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Howard Stern!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Paul Tew and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jab from Stern.
Allen fails in his attempt to clinch.
Stern scores with a punch to the head.
Allen misses with a looping right.
Stern looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Allen doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Allen moves out of range as Stern strikes.

Allen uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Stern.

Stern scores with a crisp jab that stopped Allen in his tracks.

Stern sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Allen tries to work over Stern's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Allen is pressed up against the cage. Stern has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Allen down to the mat. Allen avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Stern lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A left lands for Stern.
Stern misses with an uppercut. Allen saw that one coming.
Stern lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Stern changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Allen looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Stern wants to control but Allen is keeping him busy.
Stern tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Stern misses with an attempted head punch from side control.

Allen tries to improve position but can't.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Stern passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Allen!
Allen is squirming around, avoiding Stern's attempts to control the action.
Stern putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!

Stern throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Allen escapes and throws Stern's legs to the side, diving into side control!

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Stern is trying to control the action in half guard but Allen is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Stern uses his free foot to push down on Allen's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Allen.
Allen is wriggling around here but as he tries to escape, Stern has taken his back.

Stern is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

Stern is cranking Allen's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Allen! He's tightened the choke and Allen is tapping out!
