Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Damballah has a takedown stuffed.
Apilas throws a head kick but Damballah moves out of range.
Apilas looks to score with a jab to the body but Damballah is just out of range.
Damballah lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Apilas backs up against the cage.
El Misterioso Damballah seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nice takedown defense from Apilas. No joy for Damballah on that attempt.
A head kick misses from Apilas.
Damballah shoots for a double leg takedown but Apilas sprawls well. He's pushed Damballah's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for El Misterioso Damballah. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Damballah throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Apilas's waist but Apilas gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Damballah off to one side.

Damballah scores with a big shot! Apilas's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Apilas! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!

In his post fight interview, El Misterioso Damballah started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
