The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Janko fails with the takedown
and McBrooks counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
McBrooks throws a sloppy head kick and Janko moves out of range easily.
Janko fails with an attempt to clinch.
Janko dives in for a single leg takedown but McBrooks sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
McBrooks stuns Janko with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
No luck for Janko with that takedown attempt.

Janko has taken the fight to the clinch.

Horrible takedown attempt by Janko or perhaps it was just good defense by McBrooks, which made it look bad.

and McBrooks counters with a left and a right that stings Janko.
Janko shoots in and drives through. McBrooks sprawls well.

McBrooks throws a right hand that Janko ducks under and follows up with a left that Janko also avoids with ease.
Janko shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. McBrooks defends it nicely.

Janko tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

McBrooks throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
McBrooks connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.

James Janko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Janko tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. McBrooks manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Janko has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from McBrooks.
McBrooks is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Janko can do to turn this around?
Janko closes the distance and clinches up with McBrooks, looking for a takedown. Janko pushes McBrooks against the cage but McBrooks circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
McBrooks tries to bum rush Janko with a series of wild strikes but Janko uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Janko takes a head kick and keeps coming.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Janko changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. McBrooks tries to avoid it but Janko manages to keep hold of a leg and drag McBrooks to the ground. McBrooks escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Janko scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. McBrooks doesn't seem bothered though.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Janko crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from McBrooks - the referee stops the clock and Janko gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says McBrooks. Janko manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
McBrooks throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

McBrooks fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Janko manages to avoid it.
Janko shoots in but McBrooks avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Joshua McBrooks is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

McBrooks scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

and McBrooks makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
James Janko has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Janko darts in trying to clinch
and McBrooks counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Joshua McBrooks showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for McBrooks, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
