PBP Commentary |
Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Darth Vader (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jandre Vorster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vader comes to the cage accompanied by The Imperial March. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vorster has Vader up against the cage in a clinch.
Vader is pressed up against the cage. Vorster has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Vader down to the mat. Vader avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
A big left from Vader misses.
Vorster rushes Vader and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Vader connects with a nice short shot to Vorster's temple.

I was talking to Vader 's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
