The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz blocks a jab.
Quick throws a hook to the side of Diaz's head but Diaz sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Quick misses with a looping left.
Quick fails to land with a series of punches.
Quick lands a nice hook to Diaz's body. Diaz takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Diaz swings widly with a right hand
letting Quick counter with a right hand.

It looks like Nick Diaz has been cut.
Diaz throws a shot to the body.
Quick lands with an uppercut that bounces Diaz off the cage and back into range.
Diaz throws a lazy uppercut
letting Quick counter with a right hand.
Diaz cracks Quick with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Diaz misses with a hook. Quick ducked under it nicely.
Quick is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Diaz with a body shot.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Quick misses with a straight left.
Diaz connects with a right hand. Quick shakes it off.

Quick throws a shot to the body.
Nick Diaz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A looping hook to the body misses from Quick. Diaz does a little dance to reset his feet.
Diaz throws a good cross that connects.
Nice jab there from Diaz.
Nice sprawl there from Quick as Diaz shoots in.
Quick appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Diaz ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
It looked like Diaz wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Sloppy strikes from Diaz. Those never looked like landing.
Diaz throws a lazy uppercut
and Quick counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Diaz shoots in and drives through. Quick sprawls well.
Quick let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Quick getting the better of the striking in that exchange.

Diaz is rocked!
Quick lunges in with a left hook that violently twists Diaz head around and knocks him out cold! Quick hops onto the cage and yells out at the top of his lungs - Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah! They're showing the replay on the big screens now; that was nasty! I hope one of the photographers got a good shot of it.
