Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Oke Yagin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Zach Makovsky!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, James Glass and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yagin wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Yagin attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Jab by Yagin.
Makovsky throws a leg kick but Yagin checks it.
Yagin sizes up Makovsky with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Sloppy strikes from Makovsky. Those never looked like landing.
Yagin wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Yagin pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Makovsky does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Makovsky misses with a right hand
and Makovsky takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Yagin connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Yagin tries to bum rush Makovsky with a series of wild strikes but Makovsky uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Makovsky changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Makovsky smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Yagin scoring well with a low kick there.

Yagin appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Yagin cracks Makovsky with a right hand to the side of the head.
Makovsky throws a sloppy body shot
and Yagin cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Yagin tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Makovsky was well out of range. Poor timing from Yagin.
Yagin slips a jab and a cross from Makovsky.
Makovsky blocks a low kick nicely.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Makovsky throws a jab when Yagin was well out of range.
Makovsky swings widly with a right hand
and Yagin counters with a stiff right hand.
Yagin misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Makovsky.
Yagin turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Yagin gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Yagin lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Yagin misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Yagin tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Yagin working aggressively here.
Yagin struggles to land a body shot inside as Makovsky controls his hands.

Makovsky has hold of one of Yagin's legs. Yagin is fighting the takedown attempt but Makovsky gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Makovsky stopping the sweep attempt from Yagin.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Yagin wants to hit a switch here but Makovsky passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Yagin there!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Makovsky in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Makovsky landing strikes from the mount.
Makovsky postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Yagin looks a forlorn figure.
Yagin is working to get back to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Makovsky is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Yagin can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Yagin tries to reverse the position but Makovsky maintains control.
Yagin is working hard here to advance position.
Makovsky is landing with some decent strikes but Yagin is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
A nice elbow there by Makovsky.


Yagin is rocked!
Yagin takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Makovsky's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Zach Makovsky!
A less than humble Zach Makovsky misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
