Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hughtavious Mingo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Timothy McGee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying McGee's choice of entrance music: Invaders must die - The prodigy. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGee connects with a leg kick. Mingo looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Mingo takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Mingo has closed the distance and engaged McGee in a clinch.

McGee breaks from the clinch.

McGee tries to keep at a distance but Mingo has taken the fight into the clinch.
Mingo misses with an elbow over the top.
McGee working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Mingo gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from McGee.
McGee lands on the inside with an uppercut.
McGee lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

Mingo can't seem to implement his control oriented gameplan at the moment. That's no bad thing of course, for those of us who want to see a good fight.

McGee fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
McGee pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Mingo has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from McGee.

and Mingo counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Mingo is looking to break free of the clinch but McGee has double underhooks.
A short body shot lands from McGee as the two fighters clinch.

McGee throws a sloppy head kick and Mingo moves out of range easily.
McGee slips under a jab from Mingo.
That kick from McGee tenderised Mingo's leg. Mingo is trying to keep his angry face on.
McGee ducks right into an uppercut from Mingo.
Mingo is trying hard to land a takedown here. McGee sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
McGee fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Mingo.
Mingo tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. McGee manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

McGee walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
McGee avoids the head kick by Mingo.

and McGee counters with a stiff right hand.
Mingo moves in looking to clinch but McGee pushes him off.
A telegraphed right hand from Mingo misses the target.
McGee appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.

Mingo gets tackled into the cage by McGee. McGee maintains the clinch.
McGee misses with the head strike.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
McGee tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Mingo's elbow.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

McGee stuns Mingo with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

McGee tries a body shot but Mingo blocks it.

Mingo is trying to drag McGee to the mat but McGee just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Mingo is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but McGee is keeping busy.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mingo tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Mingo will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning McGee up against the cage.

McGee tries to pass to full mount but Mingo defends it.
McGee throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
McGee has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

McGee passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Mingo!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mingo takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! McGee's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
