Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jake Houghton!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Michael Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Sandra Marshall and Santiago Holmes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circle momentarily. Houghton darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Jackson looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Jake Houghton seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd cheers as Jackson lands an impressive looking overhand right. Houghton doesn't seem phased though.
Jackson throws a big shot that misses.
Houghton is looking to counter punch.
Houghton lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Houghton takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Houghton misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Jackson counters with a stiff right hand.
Jackson changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Houghton throws a predictable looking body shot
and Jackson counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Jackson lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Houghton has been working on his boxing with his coaches at ReVoLuT!oN !sL@nD GYM in the buildup to the fight.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Jackson connects with a looping right hand.
Houghton misses with a straight left.
Jackson now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Jackson throws a series of punches but Houghton avoids them all with ease.
Houghton wants to clinch up but Jackson keeps it at a distance.
Houghton looks to land a right hand but Jackson moved out of range.
Jackson steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Houghton.
Jackson throws a body punch but Houghton moves out of range.
Houghton avoids the body shot from Jackson.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jackson lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Jackson walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Jackson uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Houghton.
Jackson moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
The fight stays on the outside here - Houghton looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Houghton throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Jackson rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Houghton counters with a nice uppercut.
Houghton throws the left hand but Jackson avoids the punch easily.
Houghton misses the shot to the body.
Jackson lands with a kick to the ribs.
Houghton swings for the body but Jackson moves out of range.
Jackson lands with an uppercut that bounces Houghton off the cage and back into range.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
A nice leg kick lands there from Jackson.
Jackson slips a straight right by Houghton.
Both fighters circling a little - Jackson finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Houghton throws a sloppy body shot
and Jackson counters with a straight right hand.
Jackson is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Houghton had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Jackson clobbers Houghton with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Jackson throws a one two combo.
Houghton throws the left hand but Jackson avoids the punch easily.
Jackson has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Jackson catches Houghton with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Houghton throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Houghton throws a body punch but Jackson moves out of range.
Houghton loads up on a big right hand but Jackson slips the punch.

Jackson lands a left and a right that send Houghton crashing to the mat, dazed. Jackson thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


Houghton is rocked!
A slapping leg kick lands for Jackson.
Oh Houghton is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Houghton throws a poor cross that misses
and Jackson counters with a crisp right that sends Houghton to the canvas! Jackson follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Michael Jackson!
