Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Vasilyevich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dom Danky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vasilyevich keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Danky shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Vasilyevich manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Vasilyevich has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Danky has passed into side control.
Danky working the body and head with strikes.
Vasilyevich manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Danky lands strikes from half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Danky lands a nice short elbow.

Danky is working for a kimura but Vasilyevich is defending it quite comfortably.

My spies in The Beast inform me that Danky has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!
Vasilyevich wants to improve his position but Danky is controlling well.

Danky working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Danky scores with a big shot! Vasilyevich's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Vasilyevich! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!
