The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barath throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Barath dives in for a single leg takedown but Hughs sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
A head kick from Hughs lands but Barath takes it in his stride.

It looks like Chris Barath has been cut.
Barath chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Hughs can pounce on him.
