Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kimchee Ohno!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rick Reis!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Emerson Jorge and Mauricio Rocha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Ohno enables Reis to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Ohno manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Ohno preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Ohno manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Reis manages to get himself to full guard.

Reis keeping moving, preventing Ohno from controlling successfully.

Ohno drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Ohno jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Ohno advances position into side control!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ohno wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Reis, who protects the arm well.

Ohno is trying to get an arm triangle but Reis is defending well.

Ohno is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Reis knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Ohno is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Reis is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Ohno tries for a kimura but Reis is defending well.

Ohno is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Reis is trying to escape and Ohno transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Reis is forced to tap! Nice work there by Ohno! Very nice indeed!
