Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tim Holmes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lionel De Bruin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Lionel De Bruin!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Fedor Mirinova and Aleksandr Martynov.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Holmes tries to clinch
and De Bruin counters with a two punch combo.
Tim Holmes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Holmes tries to clinch but De Bruin moves away
and De Bruin counters with a one-two to the body.
Holmes tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. De Bruin manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Holmes clinches up with De Bruin and pushes him back against the cage.
Holmes jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as De Bruin walks away with a smile on his face. Holmes gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Holmes is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in De Bruin's half guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
De Bruin is trying to control but can't.
Holmes is taking a breather. De Bruin says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Holmes prevents De Bruin from improving his position.
De Bruin tries to kick Holmes off but Holmes keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Holmes has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can De Bruin defend it? Holmes steps over the head and cranks it - De Bruin is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Holmes!
