PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Oroku Saki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alvey Kulina (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Saki kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Shredder's Suite. Kulina has chosen 2 Pac - California Love as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saki scores with a hook to the body. Kulina takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Saki missing with a left hand there. Kulina was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Kulina takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Kulina steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Saki.
Saki throws a right hand that misses

Saki fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Kulina slips a straight right by Saki.
Saki seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

A nice side step and Kulina releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Kulina goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Saki lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Kulina shoots in but Saki avoids the takedown attempt easily.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Saki fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kulina manages to avoid it.
Kulina scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Saki throws a jab but it's blocked by Kulina.
Kulina needs to keep his hands up - Saki had a free shot at his head there.
Saki is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Kulina.
Saki throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Kulina counters with a body kick.

Saki clinches.
Kulina lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Saki.
Saki tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Kulina has picked Saki up - he's going for a ride! Kulina dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Kulina lands a nice short elbow.

Kulina maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Saki could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Kulina has cracked it and Saki is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Kulina!
