Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Spanky Edgar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Smokey McSmokesalot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Edgar comes to the cage accompanied by Kick In The Door. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Edgar misses with an uppercut.
Edgar changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. McSmokesalot tries to avoid it but Edgar manages to keep hold of a leg and drag McSmokesalot to the ground. McSmokesalot escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
The fight stays on the outside here - Edgar looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Edgar throws a hook but McSmokesalot avoids it easily.
Edgar swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Edgar throws a combination but it was largely blocked by McSmokesalot.

Edgar throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
McSmokesalot ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
McSmokesalot uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Edgar.
Edgar looks to land a left hand but McSmokesalot moved out of range nicely.
McSmokesalot keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
McSmokesalot tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
McSmokesalot avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

McSmokesalot is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Edgar's half guard.
