Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Radbod Blank and Daniel Blasius.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Martial closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Newton manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Martial keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
Newton tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Martial avoids it.
Newton works on Martial's body with a couple of short punches.
Newton could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Newton is standing up over Martial. Martial looks to escape but Newton dives into side control.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Newton has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Newton throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting Martial!
Newton scores with a nice shot to the head of his opponent. Martial is looking for a way out.
What can Martial do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
Martial is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Newton cracks Martial with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Martial from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.
Newton lands punches and elbows.

Newton has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Martial! Can he survive? No! He's out! Newton gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
