The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, James Ackerman and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steele fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Lopez tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Steele manages to circle out of the way.

Steele drives through and clinches with Lopez against the cage.

Steele pulls guard effortlessly.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lopez is looking to stand up but Steele won't let him.
Steele is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Steele looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Steele kicks Lopez off and gets back to his feet.

Steele gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Lopez to score an easy takedown into full guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Lopez really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Steele fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Lopez to the ground. Steele is now in Lopez's guard.
Steele passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Steele moves into full mount!
Lopez wants to control but Steele is having none of it.
Steele tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
BOOM! Steele connects with a massive shot to the dome!


It looks like Elmo Lopez has been cut.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lopez is in a horrible position here. Steele smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Steele quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Steele but it's paid off an Lopez is forced to tap! Nice work by Steele.
