Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Rock Chuck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carl Kingston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kingston comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Creep - Radiohead kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rock Chuck!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Carl Kingston!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kingston is looking to slow Chuck down with leg kicks.
Chuck throws a body punch but Kingston moves out of range.

Chuck shoots in and bounces Kingston off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Chuck trying to control but Kingston is working from the bottom.
Chuck working some strikes from top position.
Chuck wants to pass the guard but Kingston is keeping the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Kingston holds on and takes a little breather.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Chuck works over Kingston with some ground and pound from guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Chuck throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
and Kingston cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Kingston throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Kingston has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Kingston scores with a head kick. Chuck tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Carl Kingston is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Kingston's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Chuck throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Kingston was covering up waiting for the punch and Chuck finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Kingston manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Chuck avoids the body shot from Kingston.
Kingston jabs Chuck to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Kingston lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Chuck ducks under a wild hook from Kingston.
Kingston connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Chuck chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Kingston can pounce on him.
Kingston takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

Kingston connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Carl Kingston seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Chuck shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kingston but Kingston pushes him off and we're back to square one.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Kingston lands a nice leg kick that just misses Chuck's sensitive parts.

Chuck closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Kingston to the mat! Kingston manages to get full guard.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

and Kingston counters with a low kick, right behind Chuck 's knee.

Kingston has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Kingston fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Kingston buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Kingston fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Chuck on the side of the head.

Chuck rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Kingston counters with a nice low kick that buckles Chuck's knee momentarily.
Kingston connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Chuck throws an overhand right that lands on Kingston's shoulder, as Kingston tries to avoid the shot.
Kingston lands a nice looking body shot.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Chuck is defended easily by Kingston.

Chuck takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Kingston dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Chuck. That did some damage!
Chuck is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

Kingston is pressed up against the cage. Chuck has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Kingston down to the mat. Kingston avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
