Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Noah Knox!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ykong For!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, William Peck and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knox looks to land a combination but For avoids it well.
For looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Knox has managed to clinch.
For looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Knox escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
For with a poor takedown

and Knox moves into the clinch.

Knox jumps guard and drags For to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
For is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Knox is pulling down on For's head to control his posture.
Knox continues to stall.
Knox might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

For wants to pass the guard but Knox is keeping the position.
Knox seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Knox's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
For darts in trying to clinch

and Knox counters with a crisp one two that drops For! Knox thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves For to his feet! For is in big trouble!


For is rocked!

For takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Knox looking to score a takedown here. For is defending well but Knox drives through and ends up in For's guard.
For is still in real trouble! Can Knox finish him?
Knox postures up.
For has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Knox has passed into side control.
For can't do much from the bottom here.

Knox decides to stand up, so the ref orders For to his feet.
For seems to have recovered his senses.

Knox throws a nice inside leg kick.

Knox fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. For sprawls well initially but Knox persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Knox decides to stand and escape the position.

Knox drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Knox is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
For can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Knox controls the pace.
Knox could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Knox wants to stand but For is controlling his posture from full guard.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


For gets off balance looking for a body kick

and Knox holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Knox has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by For after a bit of a struggle.

Knox pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
For tries for a takedown but Knox circles away easily

and Knox moves into the clinch.

Knox pulls guard effortlessly.
Knox seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
For is breathing heavily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Knox is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Knox pulls For in close to prevent any damage.
Noah Knox overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Knox keeping moving, preventing For from controlling successfully.
Knox is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Knox has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Knox has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Knox shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Knox showed some decent athleticism there.

Knox decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Noah Knox is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
For throws a left and a right that both miss

and Knox holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Knox's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Knox moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Ykong For seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

For throws a head kick that misses
enabling Knox to counter with a crisp jab.

Knox clinches.
Knox is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that For can do to turn this around?
A frustrated look appears on For's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Knox escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Knox rushes For and presses him up against the cage.

Knox manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Knox is pulling down on For's head. It's preventing any offense from For, at least for the moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

For advances position into side control!
For is looking to take a break and control but Knox is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Knox is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on For's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Knox is doing well to control the position and prevent For from advancing to side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Knox rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but For moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
For tries a quick counter leg kick but Knox is wise to it.

Knox closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. For did well to prevent Knox getting side control.

For feints the counter takedown.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

For takes an elbow to the forehead.
Knox lands with a short head shot on the inside.

Knox's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Knox forces For back against the cage and clinches.

Knox ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Knox no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Knox lands with a heel strike from the guard.
Knox is controlling For's posture.
For trying to control but Knox is working from the bottom.

For tries to free his leg and advance position but Knox is retaining full guard.
Knox pulls For in close to prevent any damage.
Knox wants to sweep here but For controlling him for the moment.

For looks for a takedown but Knox sprawls well.

Knox has dropped down and is working for a takedown. For is trying to keep an underhook but Knox manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Knox wants to work for an arm triangle but For is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

For is looking for a sweep. Knox is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Ykong For has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Noah Knox is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

For looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Knox pushes past his half guard into mount!

Well Knox has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
