Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sergiusz Ataman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Bernside (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, David Bernside!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Bruno Lombardi and Franklyn Lucas.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bernside fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Bernside bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Ataman takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Ataman ducks under a wild hook from Bernside.
Donk. Bernside catches Ataman right on the button with a cross.
Ataman lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Ataman throws an off balance right hand
letting Bernside counter with a right hand.
Ataman throws a leg kick but Bernside moved away.
Ataman throws an off balance right hand
and Bernside counters with a nice low kick that buckles Ataman's knee momentarily.
Bernside fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Ataman has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bernside lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Ataman tries to land a front kick but Bernside steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
A decent looking cross lands there for Bernside.

Ataman is rocked!
Bernside throws a monster overhand right that drops Ataman! Bernside follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). David Bernside!
In his post fight interview, David Bernside started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
