The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maquigregor gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Maquigregor escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
No luck for Morghulis with that takedown attempt.
Maquigregor drops down looking for a counter takedown but Morghulis sprawls and moves away.
Morghulis tries for a takedown but Maquigregor sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Maquigregor lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Maquigregor displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Morghulis closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
