Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bon Odori (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andy Bangsit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Andy Bangsit enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bon Odori!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Andy Bangsit!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Ivan Kurochkin and Dmitry Maklakov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bangsit moves out of range of the body kick.
Odori tries to land a body kick

and Bangsit counters by clinching up.
Bangsit has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Odori avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Bangsit has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Odori after a bit of a struggle.
Odori lands with a left to the head.
Odori gets through Bangsit's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Odori makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

Bangsit has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Odori clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Bangsit is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

Bangsit is looking for a rear naked choke here but Odori reverses the position brilliantly into Bangsit's guard!

Bangsit had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Odori defends it easily.

Bangsit isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Odori stacks Bangsit on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Odori!

Bangsit misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Bangsit is looking for a sweep. Odori is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Bangsit is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Odori pulls his head out easily.

Bangsit has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Odori escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Odori!

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Bangsit throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

Odori fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Bangsit manages to avoid it.

Bangsit shoots for a takedown but Odori saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Odori connects with a crisp jab.
Odori is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Bangsit can do to turn this around?
Odori throws a body punch but Bangsit moves out of range.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Odori moves into the clinch successfully.
Odori gets through Bangsit's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Bangsit has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Odori after a bit of a struggle.
Bon Odori has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andy Bangsit.
Bangsit goes for a takedown attempt but Odori pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Odori cracks Bangsit with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Odori has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Bangsit to stand back up!

Bangsit shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Odori sprawls well. Odori wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Bangsit gets slowly back to his feet.

and Bangsit counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Odori!

Bangsit is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Odori knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Bangsit throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Odori works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.
Odori is doing well to control the position and prevent Bangsit from advancing to side control.

Bangsit looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Odori wants to control but Bangsit is keeping busy.
Bangsit misses with a head shot. Odori uses the momentum to regain guard.
Odori is looking to stand up but Bangsit isn't so interested in that idea.

Bangsit thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Bon Odori overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Bangsit throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Odori works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Bangsit is looking to work some ground and pound but Odori has wrist control.
Odori is pulling down on Bangsit's head. It's preventing any offense from Bangsit, at least for the moment.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Bangsit throws a big right hand that misses.
Bangsit looking to pass the guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Odori looks to throw a body kick

and Bangsit counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Bangsit is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Odori defends it well.

Odori is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Ryōzanpaku Dojo, so we'll see if he gets out of it.
Bangsit tries to pass to full mount but Odori defends it.

Bangsit is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Odori doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Bangsit.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Bangsit blocks a head kick by Odori.
Odori bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.

Odori throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Bangsit stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Bangsit wants to pass the guard but Odori is keeping the position.

Bangsit drops back looking for a leg! Odori is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Odori manages to kick Bangsit off! Bangsit jumps back into Odori's guard.
Odori is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bangsit stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Odori swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Bangsit is working for a kimura but Odori is defending it quite comfortably.

Bangsit is working for a submission of some sort.
Odori moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Bangsit drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Bangsit jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Bon Odori is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Odori continues to stall.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Odori throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Bangsit stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Odori throws a sloppy head kick and Bangsit moves out of range easily.
Odori connects with a body shot that sends Bangsit's belly button to the back.
Odori tries to land a front kick but Bangsit steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Odori throws an overhand right that lands on Bangsit's shoulder, as Bangsit tries to avoid the shot.
Bangsit only half commits to the counter leg kick.
Bon Odori is winning the standup battle so far.
Odori throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Andy Bangsit has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Odori lands a nice leg kick that just misses Bangsit's sensitive parts.
Bangsit is trying hard to land a takedown here. Odori sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

And that's the end of the fight!
Bon Odori showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Odori, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
