Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Ivan Kurochkin and Aleksandr Martynov.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thomas fails to land with a series of punches.
Karjalainen swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Thomas scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Thomas tries to bum rush Karjalainen with a series of wild strikes but Karjalainen uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Thomas will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Karjalainen throws a leg kick which misses Thomas's front leg but catches the back leg as Thomas tries to avoid it.
Thomas lands with a straight right. Karjalainen didn't see that one coming.

Thomas closes the distance and clinches.

Thomas breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Thomas dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Karjalainen. That did some damage!

and Karjalainen counters with a good low kick that Thomas was not able to check.
Thomas throws a push kick but Karjalainen slaps the foot to one side.

Karjalainen lands with an uppercut that bounces Thomas off the cage and back into range.

Thomas fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Karjalainen, pushing him back against the cage.

Thomas is trying to break the clinch but Karjalainen is controlling him.
Karjalainen tries to stall but Thomas uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Thomas escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Thomas throws a nice head kick!
Thomas misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Karjalainen.
The fight stays on the outside here - Thomas looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Karjalainen flicks out a counter leg kick but Thomas steps away.
Thomas throws a nice looking combination but Karjalainen bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Karjalainen is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Thomas.
Thomas fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
A clash of legs there as Karjalainen blocks the low kick.
Thomas throws a front kick that sends Karjalainen stumbling back into the cage.
Thomas doesn't manage to clinch there - Karjalainen circles away.
A countering left hand to the body from Karjalainen misses.

and Karjalainen counters with a huge uppercut, hook combination that drops Thomas! The ref has seen enough - he's dived in to stop the fight! Brutal strikes by Karjalainen!
