Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Shawn Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Piet Kriel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Piet Kriel acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Shawn Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 10 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Piet Kriel!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Konstantin Menshow and Viktor Lagutenko.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kriel stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kriel wants it to stay on the feet.
Kriel appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.
Jones looks for a takedown but Kriel sprawls well.
Jones shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kriel as he jumps to the side.
A countering left hand to the body from Kriel misses.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shawn Jones. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Jones goes for a double leg but Kriel avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Kriel continues to drive forward.
Jones takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Kriel has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Jones is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Jones takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Jones enables Kriel to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Jones manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jones has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Kriel should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Jones has tightened it up now! Kriel should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
