PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gros Gras (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dionte Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gras has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Gros Gras looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Gros Gras!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dionte Brown!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Steve Smith and Dillan Fox.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Brown rushes Gras and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Gras looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
A right hook to the body lands for Brown.
Brown gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

Brown breaks from the clinch.
Brown looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Gras takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.

Brown takes the fight into the clinch.
Brown digs a right hand underneath Gras's ribcage. Gras let out a lung full of air as it connected.

Gras is fighting off a takedown attempt but Brown is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Gras to the mat. Gras regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Gras wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Brown manages to pass to side control.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Brown gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
Brown throws a right and a left that both miss.

Gras tries to keep at a distance but Brown has taken the fight into the clinch.

Brown manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Brown lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Brown slips nicely into half guard.

Brown stands up from half guard.

Brown has closed the distance and engaged Gras in a clinch.
Gras definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Brown lands a body shot in the clinch.

Brown jumps guard and drags Gras to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Brown bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Gras's guard.

Brown postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Brown's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Gras knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Brown on the ground.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Brown advances to half guard.
Gras is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Brown scores with a couple of nice shots.
Brown drops an elbow to the side of Gras's head.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Brown in particular looking to stall.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Brown winds up and cracks Gras with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Brown is taking a breather. Gras says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Brown is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Gras is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
