Madrigal has chosen Lil Jon-Throw it Up as his entrance music. Luke Pratchett is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Luke Pratchett!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 32 - 20 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Julio Madrigal!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Aleksandr Martynov and Aleksei Zolotukhin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slow jab from Madrigal misses its intended target.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Pratchett checks a leg kick.
Madrigal ducks under a wild hook from Pratchett.
Madrigal throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Madrigal takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Madrigal feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Madrigal postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Pratchett might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pratchett wants to sweep here but Madrigal controlling him for the moment.
Madrigal works over Pratchett with some ground and pound from guard.
Madrigal is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Pratchett manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Madrigal manages to get himself to full guard.

Pratchett tries to free his leg and advance position but Madrigal is retaining full guard.

Madrigal is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Pratchett's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Pratchett wants to control from the top but Madrigal keeps moving.
Madrigal trying to keep a closed guard but Pratchett is proving a slippery customer.

Madrigal had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Pratchett defends it easily.
Pratchett is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Wilder MMA that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Madrigal looking to hit a scissor sweep but Pratchett is one step ahead there.
Madrigal is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Pratchett postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Pratchett pushes down on Madrigal's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Madrigal tries to roll over but Pratchett keeps him under control.
Madrigal is refusing to be controlled, as Pratchett sits in half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Pratchett not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Pratchett is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Madrigal is in trouble now - Pratchett has advanced to mount!
Madrigal wants to control but Pratchett is having none of it.

Madrigal is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Pratchett locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Madrigal is forced to tap!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Luke Pratchett!
