Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Allahu Akbar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Gabriel FalleN!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Sam Margolis and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
FalleN uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Akbar.
FalleN uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Akbar.
A left lands for Akbar.
Akbar swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Akbar looks to land a right hand but FalleN moved out of range.
FalleN looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
FalleN digs a good body shot into Akbar's ribs.
FalleN avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Akbar throws a hook but FalleN blocks it.
FalleN lands a slapping body shot.
Akbar has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Akbar wants to clinch but FalleN slips to the side
and FalleN counters with a lovely straight right hand!
FalleN just misses with a punch to the body.
A telegraphed right hand from FalleN misses the target.
A combination from FalleN does no damage.
FalleN throws a nice looking combination but Akbar bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
FalleN throws a good cross that connects.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Oooooh!!! Akbar has knocked FalleN down with a huge combo! Akbar steps away and waves a wobbly FalleN back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
FalleN is rocked!
Allahu Akbar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Akbar fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops FalleN to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! FalleN looks to clinch but Akbar throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! FalleN taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
