Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Steve Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anthony Martial (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Diaz is nestled in close to Martial, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Diaz looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Martial with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Martial manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Diaz keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.

Diaz fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Martial avoids it really well and circles away.

No luck for Diaz with that takedown attempt.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Martial closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
